Getting started
What is NexudeIT?
NexudeIT is a multivendor online marketplace where anyone can buy, sell, trade, or auction products. It combines a traditional e-commerce store builder with 16 auction formats, end-to-end encrypted buyer–seller messaging, built-in gifting, digital anti-fraud agreements, and escrow-protected payments.
How do I create a NexudeIT account?
Go to nexudeit.com, click "Sign up", and enter your email, a username, and a password of at least 12 characters containing a letter and a number. You will receive a verification email — click the link to activate the account.
Is NexudeIT free to use?
Yes. Registration, browsing, and creating a store are free. Sellers only pay a small commission when a sale completes, and the first 500 sellers ("Founders") pay 0% platform fees permanently.
Do I need to verify my email?
You can browse and explore without verification, but email verification is required before you can list products, place orders, bid on auctions, or create a store.
Founder Award
What is the Founder Award?
The Founder Award is a permanent status granted to the first 500 sellers who open a store on NexudeIT. It waives the platform commission for life, gives a 2× search-result boost, and awards a visible Founder badge on your store.
How many Founder spots are left?
The live count is shown at the top of the NexudeIT homepage. Each completed store claim reduces it by one. Once all 500 are claimed, the award is closed.
Can the Founder Award be transferred?
Yes — a Founder can transfer their award (Founder number, badge, and 0% fees) to another registered user one time. Transfers are permanent and irreversible. Selling or auctioning the award for money is prohibited and may cause it to be revoked.
Selling
What can I sell on NexudeIT?
Six listing types: physical products, digital goods, services, events, subscriptions, and auctions. You can list across multiple types from a single store — for example, a physical product plus a matching digital guide plus an event, all under one brand.
Are there listing fees?
No. Listing physical products is free. NexudeIT only charges a small commission on completed sales, and Founders pay 0%. Optional paid placements (ads, boosted listings, shoutouts) are separate from listing fees.
How do I get paid?
NexudeIT uses Stripe, PayPal, and Square to payout sellers. Connect your preferred processor during store setup. Payouts for non-escrow sales are typically released within 24 hours of delivery confirmation; escrow payouts release after the buyer confirms receipt.
What is Nova Premium?
Nova Premium is an optional paid membership for power sellers. It reduces platform commission, grants priority placement in search and category pages, includes free promotional shoutouts, and unlocks advanced analytics. Details are at nexudeit.com/nova.
Shipping
How do shipping fees work for sellers?
Sellers configure their own shipping methods and fees in Account → Shipping. Options include flat rate, weight-based, free over $X, regional, and live carrier rates. NexudeIT takes 0% on shipping — whatever the buyer pays is what you receive. Your only cost is whatever the carrier charges you directly.
Can I link my USPS / UPS / FedEx account?
Yes. Add your carrier account in Account → Shipping → Linked carriers. We support direct credentials for USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Canada Post, and Royal Mail, plus EasyPost and Shippo as multi-carrier aggregators. All credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and only decrypted in memory at the moment we call the carrier API on your behalf. You can also opt out and just paste tracking numbers manually.
How do live shipping rates work?
When you have a carrier linked, live rates appear at checkout alongside any flat-rate methods you configured. Buyers see all options and pick one. The platform uses your stored credentials to call the carrier API, then passes the carrier-quoted price through to checkout — no markup.
How does the buyer track their order?
Once you mark the order shipped and paste a tracking number, the buyer sees a clickable carrier link on their order page. If your carrier exposes webhook events, a live timeline (label printed → in transit → out for delivery → delivered) updates automatically. Buyers can also manually refresh status.
What happens if a parcel is lost or damaged?
File a claim with the carrier. NexudeIT escrow holds the order funds while the dispute is open. If the carrier or its insurance pays out, escrow follows the resolution. If the carrier denies the claim, NexudeIT applies our buyer-protection process: in cases of seller negligence (insufficient packaging, wrong address) the seller bears the loss; otherwise we make the buyer whole and absorb the difference.
Who pays customs and duties on international orders?
The buyer pays duties, taxes, and customs fees levied by the destination country unless your listing explicitly states otherwise. As the seller, you are responsible for accurate customs declarations on the shipping label.
Can I offer local pickup instead of shipping?
Yes. Add a shipping method with a price of $0 and a service name like "Local pickup" or "Same-day in-person". You can also restrict the method to specific regions. Buyers who choose local pickup arrange handoff directly with you through encrypted messaging.
Auctions
How many auction types does NexudeIT support?
Sixteen. They include English (highest bid wins), Dutch (price drops until someone buys), sealed-bid first- and second-price (Vickrey), reserve, penny, reverse, Japanese, Chinese, all-pay, silent, scavenger, live-streamed, bundle, chess-clock, and multi-unit formats.
What is a live-streamed auction?
A live-streamed auction is an English or Dutch auction conducted inside a real-time video room hosted on NexudeIT. The seller shows the item on camera, bidders bid via chat, and the room closes when bidding ends. No third-party streaming tool is required.
How does a reverse auction work?
In a reverse auction the buyer posts what they want and their maximum budget. Qualified sellers then submit quotes that bid DOWN from the maximum. The lowest qualified bid when the timer ends wins. Reverse auctions are ideal for services, bulk purchases, and custom work.
Payments
What payment methods does NexudeIT accept?
Stripe, PayPal, and Square. Individual sellers choose which processors to enable on their store. NexudeIT does not store full card numbers; all card data is handled directly by the processor under PCI DSS.
Does NexudeIT offer escrow?
Yes. Escrow is available on high-value items. The buyer's payment is held by the processor until the buyer confirms receipt or a pre-agreed deadline passes. If the buyer disputes, NexudeIT's trust-and-safety team mediates before funds are released.
What is the return policy?
Each seller sets their own return policy, which is shown on every listing. NexudeIT mediates disputes when a seller's policy conflicts with consumer law in the buyer's jurisdiction. Section 9 of the Terms covers returns in detail.
Trust & safety
How is my data protected?
Messages use end-to-end encryption (ECDH + AES-256-GCM). Passwords are stored as PBKDF2-SHA256 hashes with 200,000 iterations and unique salts. Personally identifiable information — email, phone, shipping address — is encrypted at rest. All traffic runs over HTTPS/TLS. 2FA via TOTP is available.
Does NexudeIT sell my personal information?
No. NexudeIT does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. This commitment is codified in the Privacy Policy and is enforceable under CCPA/CPRA.
What are Digital Agreements?
Digital Agreements are electronic contracts between buyer and seller that both parties sign before money changes hands. They prevent fakes, swindling, and bait-and-switch. Breach of a Digital Agreement triggers automatic account suspension and may lead to civil liability.
What happens if someone violates NexudeIT's rules?
NexudeIT operates a three-tier strike system. Level 1 is a warning, Level 2 applies temporary restrictions (reduced visibility, limited messaging), and Level 3 is a permanent site-wide ban with IP block. Repeated intellectual-property infringement or unlawful activity jumps straight to Level 3.
Mobile app
Is there a NexudeIT mobile app?
Yes. The Android app is live on the Google Play Store under com.nexude.marketplace. The iOS app is in development. The web app also functions as a PWA with a native-feel bottom tab bar when installed to a phone's home screen.
Do the mobile app and website share the same account?
Yes. Signing in on either surface updates the same cart, wishlist, message inbox, notifications, and order history. You can start checkout on mobile and finish on desktop without losing anything.
Account
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Account → Settings → Security and use "Delete account". Your account, listings, and most personal data are purged within 30 days; messages you sent remain visible to recipients (they are part of the recipient's data, not yours). Regulated records (invoices, tax documents) are retained for the period required by law.
Can I turn off cart reminders?
Yes. Go to Account → Settings → Email preferences. You can disable on-site cart reminders, reminder emails, and general promotional offers independently. Disabling cart reminders also disables the cart-reminder email.
How do I report abuse, IP infringement, or a security issue?
Use the in-product report button, or email [email protected] for general concerns, [email protected] for copyright, [email protected] for trademark issues, and [email protected] for security vulnerabilities (responsible-disclosure welcome).
Business
Is "NexudeIT" a registered trademark?
NexudeIT, Nexude, Nova, and the NexudeIT logo are trademarks of NexudeIT, in continuous use in commerce since 2026. Common-law rights apply; U.S. federal registration with the USPTO is in progress. The full policy is at nexudeit.com/terms#trademarks.
Can I use the NexudeIT name in my own brand or store?
No. You may not use NexudeIT, Nexude, or Nova — or confusingly similar variations — in your store name, username, domain, social handle, ads, or meta tags. Fair uses such as factual references ("available on NexudeIT") are permitted. Licensing enquiries go to [email protected].
